The Bio of Author Ann Gwen Mack
Born Ann Gwen Mack on September 23, 1960 to Ruby Hinnant (now deceased) and James S. Mack, she considers herself to be a very modest native Washingtonian who has given herself very little credit for her accomplishments in life. For years, Ann assumed her lack of education or credentials as deemed appropriate by man, in accordance to a societal worldview, would limit her achievement for growth and success. By allowing the enemy to speak to her destiny, she, unfortunately, allowed man to impose upon her, the measure of her worth or value through manipulation and control far from the magnitude of God’s plans for her life.

Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man AND makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD.” ~ Jeremiah 17:5
Seeking and searching for a closer Christian walk, she spent most of her early church life hopping from church to church, as much as she club hopped in her younger years, because she believed there was much more to life than the pain, ups and downs the world had presented as an option – in her eyes. First volunteering during the World Trade Center Disaster clean-up through her employment with The Salvation Army, she encountered what she calls a poltergeist experience which opened her eyes to the supernatural being far more real than she had imagined. But, it was not until 2006 when she learned it was possible to develop and have a real relationship with God that she began to seek and recognize her God-appointed purpose! This came after making a request to God to materialize in front of her and pull up a chair to allow her to have a one-on-one face-to-face conversation with Him concerning the issues of her life. During this life altering supernatural Christian experience, she would never forget, she was quickened by the Holy Spirit in the middle of a meeting surrounded by twelve of her Salvation Army World Service Office co-workers which led to the beginning of her accelerated training with the Holy Spirit as her personal teacher.
After her employment with the Salvation Army ended in 2008, she moved onward to receive and to accept a position at the U.S. Department of Energy Headquarters as a participant within the Career Intern Program as a Program/Management Analyst. Little did she know she would receive the gift of speaking in tongues on the ground floor of the U.S. Department of Energy to know God truly has a sense of humor! Who said there was “no place” for God in Government, on the job, in a business setting or separation of church and state? Most certainly “not” God when the entire world and government sits on his shoulders!
Following the leading of the LORD, she has yielded to the call on her life to minister the Gospel to include writing and teaching what thus says the LORD. She was encouraged by God to write her first book, WHAT DO I DO WITH MY PAIN in December of 2010. Bringing her full circle, God gave her permission to concentrate on a 2nd edition or revision of that book to perfect it a little further which was released on December 7, 2017. Prior to that, in 2015, she completed a second book entitled, From What Tribe Were You Birthed? Understanding the Significance of Aaron’s Breastplate. She was also asked to co-author a book along with nine other women to encourage women and men to redefine BEaYOUty (beauty)! That book is titled, Perfectly Imperfect: Seeing Yourself Through The Eyes of God. So, WHAT DO I DO WITH MY PAIN? Happily PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES!
Moving forward, although she still struggles to escape the stereotypes that are currently prevalent within her immediate surroundings to be viewed and accepted as a serious minded scholar to excel even further in her secular career, God keeps showing Himself strong in her life to encourage her to embrace her successes and willingness to soar in spite of the imaginary glass ceiling through her spiritual journey. As part of her life’s lessons and challenges, as orchestrated and allowed by God, He pushes her beyond the boundaries and limitations she has encountered to reveal to her that she can “in deed” accomplish what others are so quick to tell her that she cannot! But God pushed her to return to school and in her obedience, she graduated from The University of the District of Columbia, Class of 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Much later, beyond her greatest expectation, she was nominated to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity on behalf of the Lord from Trinity International University of Ambassadors. The graduation was held on March 3, 2018 at the Memorial Chapel at Maryland University in College Park, Maryland. [Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen. ~ Ephesians 3:20-21]
God has taken scripture to open her eyes and to reveal to her how tangible the WORD OF GOD is in how it is applied to her life. It literally jumps off each page to perform what God says it can! Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content (Philippians 4:11). But, godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6). For my beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2).
